Zoroastrianism was the religion of ancient Persia. It is one of the oldest religions, a monotheistic one. Prophet Zoroaster founded the religion approximately 3500 or 4000 years ago. Its religious scriptures can be found in the Avesta, that is a collection of teachings. Zoroastrianism was at the base of the Persian Empire that spread, conquering many territories.
