The cardiovascular system is an organ system which allows blood to circulate and transports nutrients, gases, hormones, and blood cells within the cells of the body for proper functioning of human cells and organs. The cardiovascular system is made up of the heart and the circulatory system. A group of arteries, arterioles, and capillaries help to carry blood from the heart to other parts of the body.
