First convert feet to inches:
18 ft × (12in/1ft)= 216 in
15 ft × (12 in/1ft)= 180 in

divide each side of the room by 9 inches to get number of white tiles per a wall

wall 1(18ft): 216in/9in= 24 white tiles
wall 2(15ft): 180in/9in= 20 white tiles
wall 3(18ft): 216in/9in= 24 white tiles
wall 4(15ft): 180in/9in= 20 white tiles

Lastly, add up all the white tiles and subtract 4 (the tiles that we counted twice because they were the corner tiles and touched both walls)

24+20+24+20-4= 84 white tiles total

A and B contributed 2700 and 1800 respectively to start a business. They agreed to share the profit in the ratio 7:5 respectivel
Phoenix [80]

Answer:

58.33%

Step-by-step explanation:

A's Contribution = 2700

B's Contribution= 1800

Ratio = 7:5

Profit = 900

Total Ratio = 7+5 = 12

First , Calculate both share of the profit.

A's Share= 7/12 ×900

525

B's share= 5/12 ×900

375

Now , express A's Share as a percentage

A's Share= 525/900 ×100

58.33%

Let d be the number of dollars you spent on gas and let g be the number of gallons you purchased. Which expression represents th
Marianna [84]

Answer:

The expression represents the price you paid per gallon is:

 • Price paid per gallon = \frac{d}{g}

Step-by-step explanation:

To identify the expression is right, I'll show you with an example: suppose that you paid $56 buying 7 gallons of gas, now you can replace those values in the expression I gave you:

 • Price paid per gallon = \frac{d}{g}
 • Price paid per gallon = \frac{56}{7}
 • Price paid per gallon = 8

And you can check this value by multiplying the price paid by the gallon and the number of gallons, which you obtain the number of dollars you spent:

 • Number of dollars (d) = 8 * $7 = $56

Find the surface area of the triangular prism
ArbitrLikvidat [17]

Answer:

168.43524

Step-by-step explanation:

A=ah+bh+ch+1

2﹣a4+2(ab)2+2(ac)2﹣b4+2(bc)2﹣c4=7·6+7·6+7·6+1

2·﹣74+2·(7·7)2+2·(7·7)2﹣74+2·(7·7)2﹣74≈168.43524

Write y= -4x² -16x -14 in vertex form.
adell [148]
 • Put brackets around the first two terms on the right. y = (-4x^2 - 16x) - 14
 • Pull out the common factor in the first two terms. y = -4(x^2 + 4x) - 14
 • Divide the middle term by 2. Add that inside the brackets. square y = -4(x^2 +4x +(4/2)^2 - 14
 • y = -4(x^2 + 4x + 4) - 14 + 16 This is the step where most people stumble. The point is why is 16 added? It is because what you have done inside the brackets is multiplied 4 by - 4 (on the left). That means you have changed the equation by -16. To counter that, you must add 16 after the - 14. The result is y= -4(x^2 + 4x+4) + 2
 • Express the terms inside the brackets as a square. y = - 4(x + 2)^2 + 2

B and D are both wrong. B has +4 outside the brackets. It is - 4

D is wrong because there is no 4 of any kind outside the brackets.

A is incorrectly represented inside the brackets as 16. That's not right

That only leaves C. <<<< Answer

Graphs

Notice that the red parabola and the green one are the same thing.

Red: y = -4x^2 - 16x - 14

Green: y = -4(x + 2)^2 + 2
