That really depends of the area of study that the scientist specializes in. A scientist that focuses on biology might be seen extracting DNA from an organism while a scientist focusing on physics might be seen calculating the force at which the ball hit the wall.

I hope this helps you!! Best of luck :)

Scientist's do just general things anyone else would do to solve a problem.

Step-by-step explanation:

Dmitriy789 [7]

Answer:

C

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a parabola in vertex form is

y = a(x - h)² + k

where (h, k) are the coordinates of the vertex and a is a multiplier

Here (h, k) = (8, - 14), thus

y = a(x - 8)² - 14

To find a substitute (5, 13) into the equation

13 = a(5 - 8)² - 14

13 = a(- 3)² - 14

13 = 9a - 14 ( add 14 to both sides )

27 = 9a ( divide both sides by 9 )

a = 3

Thus

y = 3(x - 8)² - 14 → C

A bus travels 12 miles in 20 minutes at this rate how many miles does the bus travel in 60 minutes
Dovator [93]

Answer:

If I'm answering this right, the bus should have travel 36 miles in 60 minutes.

If it takes 20 minutes to get to 12 miles then for every twenty minutes you would just add 12 miles.

Which correctly describes a cross section of the right rectangular prism if the base is a rectangle measuring 15 inches by 8 inc
wlad13 [49]

Answer:

A cross-section parallel to the base is a rectangle measuring 15 inches by 8 inches.

A cross-section perpendicular to the base through the midpoints of the 8-inch sides is a rectangle measuring 6 inches by 15 inches.

A cross-section not parallel to the base that passes through opposite 6-inch edges is a rectangle measuring 6 inches by greater than 15 inches.

Step-by-step explanation:

the cross sections that are parallel and perpendicular will have the same measurements as the non-intersected sides. the last one will be a diagonal so the intersected edge is 6 and it creates a right triangle so it must be larger than 15 inches.

Kisachek [45]

Step-by-step explanation:

To transform a function vertically, add 3 to the constant.

5 + 3 = 8

So the function is

3 {x}^{2}  + 8

Graph the function in desmos to show the translation vertically if you want proof
