Based on many assumptions, the conditions on nearly earth, some three to four billion years ago, are thought to be much different before from what they are today. The theory called big bang is defined proposing that the earth was once part of a larger particles that coalesced after the universe initial explotion.

The combustion of the carbon results in the generation of the carbon dioxide and the carbon monoxides. Other than this, the reaction of the carbon compounds also causes the release of methane. The reaction of the carbon with various substances also result in the formation of CFCs (Chlorofluorocarbons)

All the mentioned gases are well known green house gases. All the green house gases traps the heat in the earth's atmosphere and cause global warming.
