The ratio of the distance a bullet travels to the amount of time it takes to travel is known as the speed or velocity of the bullet, depending on whether we need to know the direction or not. Speed is a scalar quantity. It describes to "how fast an object is moving", in our case how fast the bullet is moving.Velocity is a vector quantity. velocity describes  "the rate at which an object changes its position".

The correct answer to the question is : Speed.

EXPLANATION:

Before coming into any conclusion, first we have to understand speed.

Speed of a body is defined as the rate of change of distance travelled by the body or the distance travelled by the body per unit time.

Mathematically speed s = \frac{distance}{time}.

As per the question, we are given the ratio of the distance of a bullet travels to the amount of time it takes to travel that distance.

It is obvious that the ratio indicates the speed of the bullet.

Speed is a scalar quantity. So, there is no need of any direction.

Which factor (s) have the most affect a person’s vital capacity? Rank in order from MOST effect (1) to least effect (5)
jenyasd209 [6]

The factors that affect vital capacity are :

  1. Age
  2. Sex
  3. Height
  4. Body mass
  5. Ethnicity

Explanation:

Vital capacity is the maximum amount of air that a person can exhale once he has filled his lungs with maximum air. So, it is like maximum exhalation after maximum inhalation by a person.

Vital capacity is also equal to Forced Vital Capacity.

Lung usually have their maximum capacity in early adult days and this capacity reduces as the person grows older. So age is the prime factor in this.

A female with same age and height as that of male will have 10-12% less vital capacity than him. So sex is another reason which determines vital capacity.

Person with more height has more vital capacity. This is because lungs capacity is closely related to the third power of person's height.

Person suffering from obesity will have compressed diaphragm, lung and chest cavity , so their vital capacity will be less. So we can say body mass affects vital capacity.

Last factor, ethnicity, is yet to be understood clearly as there is not much evidence of this.

An automobile starts from rest and accelerates to a final velocity in two stages along a straight road. Each stage occupies the
qaws [65]

Answer:

The answer is a2 = 4.48 m/s2

Explanation:

Let´s start with the equations we know:

  1. v_{f} = v_{o} +at
  2. t_{1} =t_{2} =t

Where:

  • v_{f} => Final velocity
  • v_{o} => Initial velocity
  • a => acceleration
  • t => time

Now, let´s divide the problem in Stage 1 and 2 and get equations for each stage:

Stage 1 knowns and unknowns:

  • v_{1o} =0\\v_{1f} = ?\\a_{1} =2.8[\frac{m}{s^{2} }] \\t_{1} =?

Stage 1 equation:

  • v_{1f} = v_{1o} + a_{1} t
  • v_{1f}= 0+2.8t\\v_{1f}=2.8t

Stage 2 knowns and unknowns:

  • v_{2o} =v_{1f} \\v_{2f}=2.6v_{1f} \\a_{2} =?\\t_{2}=?

Stage 2 equation:

  • v_{2f} = v_{2o} +a_{2}t
  • 2.6v_{1f} =v_{1f} +a_{2}t\\2.6v_{1f} -v_{1f} = a_{2}t\\1.6v_{1f} = a_{2}t

Now we can substitute the resultant equation from stage 1 into stage´s 2 equation:

  • 1.6(2.8t) = a_{2}t

We can see "t" is on both sides, so it cancels out and we are left with:

a_{2} = 4.48 [\frac{m}{s^{2} } ]

A spherical shell has an inner radius of 3.7 cm and an outer radius of 4.5 cm. If charge is distributed uniformly throughout the
tester [92]

Answer:

1.31×10^-9 C

Explanation:

Total charge = volume density × volume of sphere

Volume density = 6.1×10^-4 C/m^3

Volume of sphere = 4π/3×(outer radius - inner radius)^3 = 4×3.142/3 × (4.5 - 3.7)^3 = 4.189×0.8^3 = 2.145 cm^3 = 2.145×10^-6 m^3

Total charge = 6.1×10^-4 × 2.145×10^-6 = 1.31×10^-9 C
