What initially prevented England from establishing colonies in the other parts of the world?
jonny [76]
The correct answer here is D.

England had a lot on its plate. Numerous internal problems in addition to the threat from the Spain are what kept Britain isolated. It was only after King James VI ascended to the throne in 1603 and signed the Treaty of London that ended the hostilities with Spain that allowed Britain to become the world power.

Why was long-distance trade in exotic goods such an important phenomenon in North America, Europe, and Africa? (AP History Quest
devlian [24]

Hello!

This was such an important phenomenon because at the time furs and skins were really expensive. Easily 8,000 for just a zebras hide, if not more. Africa was one of the biggest places to poach. Poaching is when an animal is killed illegally.

Hope it helps!
