Answer: -

Cold and High salinity

Explanation: -

When the temperature of the water increases, the solubility of substances like salt in water increases. Thus warmer water has more dissolved salt and thus are consequently more dense.

A heavier water then sinks, setting up something called a convection current.

Again more the temperature more the volume of the water and consequently density is less. So cold water is more dense and sinks below.

Combining them Cold and High salinity composition of water sinks down forming a deep water current.

Why does the TLC tank need to be covered?
photoshop1234 [79]

Answer:

The reason for covering the container is to make sure that the atmosphere in the beaker is saturated with solvent vapour. Saturating the atmosphere in the beaker with vapour stops the solvent from evaporating as it rises up the paper.

What is the volume that you should dilute 30mL of a 12.0M H2SO4 solution to obtain a 0.160M H2SO4 solution?
shutvik [7]
To solve this problem, the dilution equation (M1 x V1 = M2 X V2) must be used. The given values in the problem are M1= 12.0 M, V1= 30 mL, and M2= 0.160 M. To solve for V2,
V2=M1xV1/M2
V2= (12x30)/0.16
V2= 2,250 mL.
The correct answer is 2.25 L.
