The majority of Americans felt that the United States should stay out of World War I because it was not a signatory to any of the agreements that had lured the European powers into conflict across the continent, so President Woodrow Wilson declared a neutrality policy, attempting instead to broker a peace agreement. Even when a German sub sank the British ocean liner Lusitania in 1915, with 128 Americans on board, the United States demanded a stop to the destruction of passenger ships, and Germany agreed, leading to continued American neutrality.

Answer:

Explanation:

The expansion of colonization was important for the Industrial Revolution in England because as industry grew more raw materials were required. England produced limited raw materials, therefore it depended heavily on colonization in Asia and Africa. Its colonies were important sources of raw materials, such as cotton and rubber. England typically invested enough to make a profit in the colonies, usually building railroads and telegraph lines. Local workers in the colonies were exploited through low wages and dangerous work conditions.

Which of the following statements is true of both the Standard of Ur from the Royal Tombs at Ur and the Palette of King Narmer?
Sladkaya [172]

Answer:

The correct answer is letter "B": They celebrate military victory.

Explanation:

The Standard of Ur comes from the ancient Egyptian city of Ur, from the Early Dynastic Period (2900-2350 BC). It includes mosaic-elaborated scenes of war (prisoners being presented to the king) and peace both portrayed on each side of the wooden box. It is believed that the Standard of UR was created more than 4600 years ago.

The Narmer Palette dates from the 31st century BC. It portraits the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt by King Narmer (3150-3100 BC). The biggest picture of the palette shows Narmer holding a mace with one hand and with the other grabbing a prisoner's head who is about to be hit by the king.

Both ancient relics praise the military victory in battle.

A presidential government is based on the relationship between which two branches of government
svetoff [14.1K]

A presidential government is based on the relationship between the legislative power and the executive.

The presidential system or presidential system is a form of government in which, once a Republic is constituted, the Constitution establishes a division of powers between the executive power, the legislative power, the judiciary, and the head of state, in addition to holding representation formally of the country, is also an active part of the executive power, as Head of Government, thus exercising a dual function, because he has the powers of the Government, being elected directly by the voters and not by Congress or Parliament.

The president is the body that holds the executive power, while the legislative power usually concentrates the congress, without prejudice to the powers that the president has in legislative matters.
