The Formula for the area of a Triangle is: one half×(base×height), you will have to find the area of each of the triangles within the kite and add them up. If you look, you can find out these measurements.. I'll make it easy for you.

Triangle 1: H:7 in. B:9.5 in.
Triangle 2: H:12 in. B 9.5 in.
Triangle 3: H:7 in. B: 9.5 in.
Triangle 4: H:12 in. B: 9.5 in.

For Triangle 1 you would type this into a calculator: 1/2(7×9.5) and it will give you the area of that part of the kite. For the rest it is the same thing but you will have to substitute the base and the height values.

Hope this Helped!

Find BC. Round to the nearest tenth
SSSSS [86.1K]
Using LAW OF SINES Round to the nearest tenth.
Find BC: triangle is laying on it's side with the point to the right point(A).

B to C= 61 degrees
C to A= 23 cm
A to B= 12 degrees
--------------------
If I interpret this correctly:
Angle A = 61º

Angle C = 12º
--> B = 103º
-------------
Side b = 23 cm
--------------
BC is side a, opposite angle A
--------------
23/sin(103) = a/sin(61)
a = 23*sin(61)/sin(103)
a =~ 20.6 cm

Hope this helped :)

US National forest cover approximately 300,000 square miles. conversationalist want the total square footage of forests to be 30
Sveta_85 [38]
E+10 is equivalent to 10^10 so, 9e+10 is equivalent to 9*10^10. 300,000^2 is 90000000000 square miles, where as the US has 4000000. Therefore, if the national forest were as large as the environmentalist wants them to be, the forest would be larger than the US, which is IMPOSSIBLE !!! As a result, this goal is not reasonable

A triangle with vertices A(0,0), B(6,0), and C(0,9) is rotated 360 about the y-axis. What is the volume of the figure?
Luden [163]

Given:

A triangle with vertices A(0,0), B(6,0), and C(0,9) is rotated 360 about the y-axis.

To find:

The volume of the figure.

Solution:

Points A(0,0) and C(0,9) lies on the y-axis. Length of AC is 9 units.

Points A(0,0) and B(6,0) lies on the x-axis. Length of AB is 6 units.

If a triangle with vertices A(0,0), B(6,0), and C(0,9) is rotated 360 about the y-axis, then it will form a cone with radius 6 units and height 9 units.

Volume of a cone is

V=\dfrac{1}{3}\pi r^2h

where, r is radius of the base and h is vertical height of the cone.

Putting r=6 and h=9, we get

V=\dfrac{1}{3}\pi (6)^2(9)

V=\pi (36)(3)

V=108\pi

Therefore, the volume of the figure is 108\pi sq. units.
