The percentage of change: This is how you set it up

% change = (New old value) =
                        (Old value)
= x 100 %

40 is the old value and 72 is is the new value

The new value is greater than the old value.

(72 - 40) /40)x 100 = 80 or 80%

the percent change from 40 to 72 represents a positive change (increases) of 80.

First find the change: new minus the old
72 - 42 = 32
Now, find the percentage... multiply by 100
32 divided by old 42 times 100
(32/42)/100
=80%

Range of values of x is 25°<x<27°.

Step-by-step explanation:

An angle is formed when two rays, a line with one endpoint, meet at one point called a vertex.Alternate interior angles are formed when a transversal passes through two lines. The angles that are formed on opposite sides of the transversal and inside the two lines are alternate interior angles. The Alternate Interior Angles theorem states, if two parallel lines are cut by a transversal, then the pairs of alternate interior angles are congruent.

In above question, sides are equal and so alternate interior angles are equal i.e. 2x + 10° = 62° ⇒ 2x = 52° ⇒ x =26°

∴ range of values of x is 25°<x<27°

why do whole numbers raised to an exponent get greater while fractions raised to an exponent get smaller?
ehidna [41]
Any number above 1 gets greater, below 1 smaller (when above 0), while 1 itself remains the same. Negative numbers are more unpredictable.
