Fee of $65
$10.50 per hour

'x' represents hours

Therefore we have:

y = 10.50x + 65

Because 10.50 is the cost per hour, and x represents hours, so we put these together. 65 is a one-time fee, so we just add it on.

Hello!

You have to find the area of the prism and the pyramid

rectangular prism is lwh

Put in the values you know

15 * 5 * 7 = 525

For a prism you use

\frac{lwh}{3}

Put in the values you know

\frac{15 * 5 *13 }{3}

Multiply

975/3

Divide

325

Add the values you know

325 + 525 = 850

The answer is D)850cm^{3}

Hope this helps!

A piece of a chain's length and weight are in proportion. If 320 cm of chain weighs 8 kg, then
Dafna11 [192]

Answer:

B. 80 cm of chain weighs 2 kg.

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to choose the correct answer, we need to define the comparative relation between the length and weight of the chain. We will do this by performing the simple operation of division.

It is easier to divide the larger number by the smaller and that is what we will show here (although you can do as you wish and still get the same result - it's math!):

320 ÷ 8 = 40

The result we got is 40. This means that the length of the chain is equal to the value of forty of its weights! And this will be the operation we will perform in order to determine the right answer:

A) Does 2 (kg) multiplied by 40 equal 40 (cm)? No, therefore, it is incorrect.

B) Does 2 (kg) multiplied by 40 equal 80 (cm)? Yes, this answer is correct!

Just in case, we will perform this action with the rest of the possible choices:

C) 4 kg × 40 = 160 and NOT 80 cm.

D) 2 kg × 40 = 80 and NOT 160 cm.

How can parentheses be added to the following equation to make it true?
Viktor [21]

Answer:

8 - (3 x 2) - (1 + 1) = 0

or

8 - 3 x 2 - (1 + 1) = 0

Remember PEMDAS.

If I put parenthesis around 3 x 2, I get 6.

But 8 - 6 = 2

How can we make 2 - 1 + 1 = 0?

If we look at PEMDAS, we know (2 - 1) + 1 = 2, but the answer needs to be 0.

So now try 2 - (1 + 1) and that gives me 0.

And it says parentheses...but you can also do 8 - 3 x 2 - (1 + 1) = 0.
