The answer is: he will attend church less often.

According to research, activities that being done because of the influence of our parents tend to be decreased as we got older.

When we're young, we see our parents as the sole authorities in the house so  we are more likely to conform to their influence. When we grow into emerging adults, we do not see them as such .

Another example would an experienced lawyer who hears for a few minutes the story of a client, and knows immediately if the case can be won or not even if he has not learned the details of the case yet.
