A school system is reducing the amount of dumpster loads of trash removed each week. In week 5, there were 60 dumpster loads of

waste removed. In week 10, there were 40 dumpster loads removed. Assume that the reduction in the amount of waste each week is linear. Write an equation in function form to show the amount of trash removed each week. a. f(x) = - 4x + 60. b. f(x) = 4x + 60. c. f(x) = - 4x + 80. d. f(x) = 4x + 80

The correct answer is c) f(x) = -4x+80.

We first find the rate of change, or slope, between points.  The two points we are given are
(5, 60) and (10, 40)

We find the slope using the formula
m = (y₂ - y₁)/(x₂ - x₁) = (40-60)/(10-5) = -20/5 = -4

Now we put this in point-slope form, which is
y-y₁ = m(x-x₁)
y-60 = -4(x-5)

Using the distributive property,
y-60 = -4*x --4*5
y-60 = -4x+20

Add 60 to both sides:
y-60+60 = -4x+20+60
y = -4x+80

Answer:

The answer is "2653".

Step-by-step explanation:

Sample \ Size = 99\% \ Cl\\\\ E =60  \\\\\sigma= 1200\\\\

Minimum sample size for Cl level = 99\% and Desired Margin of Error, E = 60 is:

\to P(|\bar{x}-\mu| < E) \geq 1-\alpha \\\\\to P(\frac{\bar{x}-\mu}{\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}}

Margin \  Error = \frac{\text{length of the CI}}{2}\\\\\sigma=1200\\\\\alpha=1 - Confidence =1-0.99=0.01\\\\Z_{\frac{\alpha}{2}}=z_{0.005}=2.58\\\\n\geq (\frac{z_{0.005} \times \sigma }{E})^2 \\\\= (\frac{2.58 \times 1200 }{60})^2\\\\=2662.560\\

The minimum n has to be integer, we take the ceiling Of above number and get n = 2663

The exact z-value.

n \geq (\frac{2.5758293035489 \times 1200}{60})^2 \\\\= 2653.95864

using critical value of 2,575, which gives 2652.25

\to n =2653

Zina [86]
So 2/7 cookies on Monday
n 1/3 more on Tuesday
so we are going to fine Tuesday's amount , to find what fraction did Gail sell on the two days
so
2/7 + 1/3
find lCM which is 21
u add and get 13/21 so 31/21+2/7=19/21
