Answer:

Area of triangular Base is 8 feet² & Edge length is 4 feet.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Volume of Rectangular prism = 72 feet³

           Height of prism = 9 feet

           triangle of base is an isosceles right angled triangle.

To find: Area of Triangular Base & Edge of triangle

we know that,

Volume of Prism = Area of Base × Height

⇒ Area of Triangular Base × 9 = 72

Area of Triangular Base = \frac{72}{9}

Area of Triangular Base = 8 feet²

Triangular Base is an isosceles right angled triangle .i.e., perpendicular legs are equal in length say x.

\frac{1}{2}\times Base\times Height=8

\frac{1}{2}\times x\times x=8

x^2=8\times2

x=\sqrt{16}

x = 4

Length of Edge = 4 feet

Therefore, Area of triangular Base is 8 feet² & Edge length is 4 feet.

Ƒ(x) = x2 + 2x − 15 to find the solution when ƒ(x) = 0.
lozanna [386]

Answer:

f = 2 + -15x-1 + x

Step-by-step explanation:

Simplifying

f(x) = x2 + 2x + -15

Multiply f (x)

fx = x2 + 2x + -15

Reorder the terms:

fx = -15 + 2x + x2

Solving

fx = -15 + 2x + x2

Solving for variable 'f'.

Move all terms containing f to the left, all other terms to the right.

Divide each side by 'x'.

f = -15x-1 + 2 + x

Simplifying

f = -15x-1 + 2 + x

Reorder the terms:

f = 2 + -15x-1 + x
