There are twice as many alligators as there are camels. you weren't doing that you were adding not multiplying by two let's say you have 2 elephants there are twice as many giraffes so you have 4 giraffes there are twice as many camels as giraffes so you have 8 camels and there are twice as many alligators as camels so you have 16 alligators see what I'm doing
