The correct answer is C) :A person wants an endless supply of everything but cannot have it.

Even though scarcity and shortage may appear rather similar they are different.

By definition scarcity is inevitable which means that the quantity of a resource is limited naturally. On the other hand, shortage is not imposed by nature it is a situation created by men. It occurs when there is more demand than supply.

In this case, if the person cannot have the resource he or she wants for ever this means that the natural resource will inevitably stop existing at some point. This is an example of scarcity.

Explain what a scientific theory is and how it differs from the colloquial use of "theory".
Svetlanka [38]
A scientific theory is a specific type of theory used in the scientific method. The term "theory" can mean something different, depending on whom you ask.

"The way that scientists use the word 'theory' is a little different than how it is commonly used in the lay public," said Jaime Tanner, a professor of biology at Marlboro College. "Most people use the word 'theory' to mean an idea or hunch that someone has, but in science the word 'theory' refers to the way that we interpret facts."

Why is Sahara considered a natural boundary?
bonufazy [111]
The Sahara Desert forms a natural boundary for many countries. In particular, it forms the northern boundary of the West African states, and provides a boundary for Egypt. The Atlas Mountains provide a boundary between Morocco and the rest of Africa.

Beyond this, the natural boundaries have little to do with Africa's current political boundaries. That is because the colonial powers, when they took over Africa, set their boundaries over these natural boundaries; to deliberately divide people of the same nationalities.

If the Sahara was grassland, of course more North African people would live there, reducing the population density of the current North African states.

What are 2–3 ways in which the Spanish-American War influenced the emergence of the United States as a world power?
Rus_ich [418]

Answer:

The Spanish-American War influenced the emergence of the United States as a world power in two key ways:

Explanation:

The first way is that it showed the military prowess of the U.S., a relatively young nation at the time (a little over 100 years old), against a much older nation, Spain, that had been a world-encompassing empire just a century earlier.

The second way is that it gave the United States possession of some of its first territories or colonies: Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Phillippines. These made the United States an Empire, that had colonies just like the old European Empires like Britain and France.
