Answer:

Josiah can not eat eggs, so he will not want to exchange his milk for Anna's eggs. But Anna needs the milk, so she must exchange her eggs with someone who has milk, or someone who has a product that josiah wants and then she can exchange that product for Josiah's milk

Explanation:

The barter method. is the procedure and result of exchange, a verb that refers to replacing one element with another of the same. In other words, this method refers to the act of giving something and receiving something else instead.

Despite the monetization of modern society, the barter method continues to be a part of everyday life, such as when a friend offers another to fix his computer in exchange for a ride, or a child at school offers a cookie for his snack in exchange for a bullet from his colleague and / or presents something in the form of Credit, promise of future payment. And it becomes an important part of the economy in regions less developed or adhering to certain traditions or principles, such as indigenous communities.

Anna needs milk and she has eggs. Josiah has milk but he can't eat eggs(because he was allergic).
So, Anna can't trade the eggs to Josiah directly. In this case, Anna needs to find someone that can accept eggs and gives things that accepted by Josiah.
If Josiah says that he wants apples, Anna can trade the eggs with someone that has apples. Then, Anna can trade the apples with the milk.
