It is easier for psychologists to predict group behavior rather than individual behavior because individuals vary in their behavior whereas groups tend to display the same behavior.

The four primary goals of psychology are to describe, explain, predict, and change behavior.

Through describing the behavior of humans and other animals, we are better able to understand it and gain a better perspective on what is considered normal and abnormal. Psychologists are also interested in explaining behavior in addition to merely describing it. Why do people do the things they do? What factors contribute to development, personality, social behavior, and mental health problems? Psychologists make predictions about how we think and act. Once we understand more about what happens and why it happens, we can use that information to make predictions about when, why, and how it might happen again in the future. Psychology strives to change, influence, or control behavior to make constructive and lasting changes in people's lives.

Psychology is a science which is used to study the human behavior. There are four major goals of psychology.

1-Describe

2-Explain

3-To predict

4-To control

Explanation:

Describe:

The first goal is a description of a problem. Psychology simply describes the behavior of human or animals, like what they do and how they do. Either we have to consider it normal or abnormal.

Explain:

By describing psychologists also explain the issues deeply to understand the exact situation and condition of the subject. Explanation gives help where to start the treatment and how it will go on.

Predict:

The other primary goal is a prediction. It lets us know how the thing acts, how it will go on, in different conditions what will be actions and reactions will be. It is a very important goal and if it goes correctly it is very helpful in diagnosing causes.

To change or control:

The last and most important goal is to change. This goal is to change the behaviors or control it to make it constructive and lasting changes in people's lives.

How would life be different without the 26th amendment?
andriy [413]
The 26th Amendment allows those who turn 18 years old, the legal right to vote. So, if we did not have the 26th Amendment, technically speaking, anyone would be allowed to vote at any age. This could render elections unfair, as families with more children than others would have more voting power.
