Friendliness is an important positive social skill. Provide at least three examples of how someone can be friendly.

Examples:

1) I can go up to someone and genuinely compliment their outfit, e.g. “that’s a nice suit you got on” or “nice shoes, where’d you buy them?”

2) If I am conversing with someone else then I’ll make sure that I reveal an equal and comparable amount of myself in the conversation, e.g. if my friend tells me of his fear of failing a class, I’ll reply with “I remember having the same fear, this is how I dealt with it.” or “no need to stress out, just let me know if you need any help”.

3) If I am in a conversation with friends I’ll make sure that everyone is feeling comfortable in the conversation, if one isn’t then I’ll assist them to feel comfortable again, e.g. by asking “are you alright, you don’t look too good?” or “is the topic making you feel weird?”.
