Lady_Fox [76]

A positive charge of 94. 0 NC is 22. 0 cm from a negative charge of 53. 0 NC. The force on one of the charges due to the other is approximately 92.6× 10⁹ N

Force between the two charges depends upon the charges, distance between the charges and the medium between the two charges. It is given by:

F = kq₁q₂ / r²

where q₁ is the charge of the first charge

q₂ is the charge of the second charge

r is the distance between the charges

k is the permitivitty of medium

F is the force between the two charges

Given , q₁ = 94NC

q₂ = 53NC

r = 22cm = 0.22m

On subsituting,

F = 9 × 10⁹ × 94 × 53 / (0.22)²

⇒ F = 92.6 × 10⁹ N

Since, the force between the two charges is equal on both the charges hence, force on one of the charges due to the other is approximately 92.6× 10⁹ N.

If you break a bar magnet in half, each half
GaryK [48]

Answer:

If you break a bar magnet in half, each half becomes a magnet.

Explanation:

A substance which attracts or repels another similar substance is known as magnet. When domains align in single direction in a substance, it acts as a magnet. A magnet has two poles- North pole and South pole. Like poles repel each other and unlike poles attract each other. Mono-poles do not exist. So, when a magnet is broken into two halves, each half forms another magnet with two poles.

What is one disadvantage of a series circuit?
nlexa [21]

If one bulb goes out then all the others won't light up because electricity will be cut off. It's a disadvantage because in a parallel circuit if one bulb burns out all the others will still be on because they won't be affected. I hope I've helped you ☺

A weight of 12.0 N hangs motionless from a spring, with a spring constant of 10.0 N/m. How far is the spring stretched from its
Lerok [7]

Answer:

0.120 m

Explanation:

F=kx where F is force and k is constant, x is extension from its original length

Making x the subject then substituting 12 N for F and 10.0 N/m for k then

x=\frac {F}{k}=\frac {12 N}{10 N/m}=0.12 m
