Our pupils change size according to the amount of light that surronds us.

More light: smaller pupil
Less light: bigger pupil

It changes size because to see, we need light.
When there is a lot of light the pupil can stay small, but even so, the light will reach our eyes.
When there is a decreased amount of light in our surroundings, the pupils increase size making the chances of capturing light higher.

Please help: Which process in plant physiology could not occur if the opening of the undersides leaves are closed?
lapo4ka [179]

A)Photosynthesis

Explanation:

  • Photosynthesis is the process by which green plant prepare glucose using carbon dioxide and water in presence of sunlight and chlorophyll.
  • The openings on the undersurface of the leaves are called stomata.
  • Stomata play a vital role in exchange of gases between tissues and the surrounding.
  • If these openings remain closed then carbon dioxide will not diffuse into the cells and oxygen will not diffuse out of the cell.
  • As a result,  photosynthesis will not take place and the plants will die due to lack of food and nutrients.
