For this case we must change the following equation:

y = a (x-h) ^ 2 + k to the standard form: y = ax ^ 2 + bx + c

By definition we have to:

(a-b) ^ 2 = a ^ 2-2ab + b ^ 2

Then, rewriting:

y = 4 (x-5) ^ 2 + 7\\y = 4 (x ^ 2-2 * 5 * x + 5 ^ 2) +7

Applying distributive property to the terms within parentheses:

y = 4x ^ 2-40x + 100 + 7

Finally we have:

y = 4x ^ 2-40x + 107

Answer:

y = 4x ^ 2-40x + 107

Answer: y=4x^2-40x+107

Just distribute the equation.

y=4(x-5)^2+7

y=4(x^2-10x+25)+7

y=4x^2-40x+100+7

y=4x^2-40x+107

How can you write 0.45 as fraction and a percentage ,please show work
Blababa [14]
To convert 0.45 to percent multiply by 100

0.45 × 100 = 45 %

Write the decimal number as a fraction
(over 1)
0.45 = 0.45 / 1

Multiplying by 1 to eliminate 2 decimal places
we multiply top and bottom by 2 10's

Numerator (N)
N = 0.45 × 10 × 10 = 45
Denominator (D)
D = 1 × 10 × 10 = 100

N / D = 45 / 100

Simplifying our fraction

= 45/100

= 9/20

What value of b will cause the system to have an infinite number of solutions? y=6x-b -3x+1/2y=-3
Serhud [2]

Answer:

b = 6

Step-by-step explanation:

solve the second equation for 'y':

-3x + 1/2y = -3

add 3x to each side to get:

1/2y = 3x - 3

multiply all terms by 2 to eliminate the denominator to get:

y = 6x - 6

now compare '6x-6' with '6x-b'

you want both expressions to be equal because then there are an infinite number of solutions:

b = 6

Problem IDPRAQT48 At the beginning of a trip, a car's gasoline tank contained 14 1/5 gallons of gas. At the end of the trip, it
Kryger [21]

Answer:

5 8/15 Gallons

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: Change mixed numbers into improper fractions.

14 1/5 = 71/5

8 2/3 = 26/3

Step 2: Change the improper fractions to have the same denominator.

71/5 = 213/15

26/3 = 130/15

Step 3: Subtract

213/15 - 130/15 = 83/15

Step 4: Simplify

83/15 = 5 8/15

Hope this helps! :D

Write an equation that represents the relationship between the number of weeks Jack saves and the total amount of money saved
arsen [322]
The complete question in the attached figure

Let
w --------> represent the number of weeks that Jack saves
s --------- > represent the total amount saved, in dollars

step 1
find the equation of the line
points
(2,12) and (4,24)
slope m=(s2-s1)/(w2-w1)------->m=(24-12)/(4-2)-----> m=6

step 2
with m=6 and point (2,12)
s-s1=m*(w-w1)--------> s-12=6*(w-2)-----> s=6w-12+12-----> s=6w

the answer is
s=6w
