Well, scence you don't know how many quarters are in a stack of 5mm, ill give a variable answer...there's 10x as many quarters in the stack of cm than the stack of millimeters, because 5mm=1/2 cm, and 5/.5=10

A bicycle tire is 28 inches in diameter. Approximately how far does the bicycle move forward each time the wheel goes around? (u
zhannawk [14.2K]

Answer: 88 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

A bicycle tire is 28 inches in diameter. approximately.

To find the distance traveled by the bicycle each time the wheel goes around we need to find the circumference of the tire.

The circumference of a circle: where d is the diameter of the circle.

Now, the circumference of the tire:

Hence, the distance traveled by the bicycle each time the wheel goes around  =88 inches.

What is the product of 2x+ 3 and 4x2 - 5x+ 6?
elena-s [515]

Answer:

8x³ - 25x² - 3x + 18

Step-by-step explanation:

(2x + 3)(4x²- 5x + 6)

multiply 2x by each of the three terms in the second expression to get:

8x³ - 10x² + 12x

now multiply 3 by each of the three terms in the second expression to get:

12x² - 15x + 18

Combine 'like terms': -10x² + (-15x²) = -25x²

Combine 'like terms':  12x + (-15x) = -3x

Put all terms in decreasing exponent order:

8x³ - 25x² - 3x + 18

A triangle has a height that is 2 inches more than three times the base and an area of 60 in. Find the base and the height of th
const2013 [10]

Answer:

Height = 20, Base = 6

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of a triangle is \frac{bh}{2}

where b is the base and h is the height

H = 3B + 2\\\frac{B(3B + 2)}{2}=60\\\\3B^2 + 2B = 120\\3B^2+2B - 120=0\\

We can factor by grouping

3B^2 - 18B + 20B - 120 = 0\\3B(B - 6) + 20(B-6) = 0\\GCF the (B-6)\\(B-6)(3B+20)=0\\B = 6, B = \frac{-20}{3}

Length can only be positive, so we know that the base is 6 in

The height must be 2 + 3(6) = 20

Height = 20, Base = 6
