The first thing we must do in this case is to rewrite the length of the first tape.
 We have then:
 4/8 = 2/4 = 1/2 = 3/6 yard
Therefore, since the tapes have the same length, the following measure is NOT possible:
 4/6 yard
 Answer:

A. 4/6 yard

A spool of rope contains 65 yards of rope. How many 4-foot pieces of rope can be cut from the spool? How much rope is left ov
Thepotemich [5.8K]
So there is 65 yards and one yard is 3 feet so you multiple 65 by 3 which is 195 . Then you divide by 4 as you have to see how many four foot pieces can be cut which you end up with 48.75 which means that you can have 48 four foot pieces. So since you have 48 four foot pieces you multiply 48 by 4 and you have 192 and if you subtract 195 which is how many feet there is in the 65 yards you get three feet and that is how much of the rope that is left over.

The touchdown to fumble ratio for Bobby Boucher was 9:2 If Bobby ran for 18 touchdowns,
Vika [28.1K]

Answer: He had 14 more touchdowns than he did fumbles.

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1. Ok, so we need to see how many times 9 will divide into 18.

18/9=2.

Step 2. So now that we know that 9 goes into 18 two times and we know he has two fumbles for every 9 touchdowns we can multiply 2 by 2 to find out how man fumbles he had.

2*2=4

Step 3. Now to find out how many more touchdowns than fumbles he had we need to subtract his fumbles from his touchdowns.

18-4= 14. So, now we know he had 14 more touchdowns than he did fumbles.

Hope this helps!

A recent survey asked UF students if they had a job or not, and if they were underclassmen (Freshmen and Sophomores) or uppercla
vlada-n [284]
Following the table and knowing that the total number of students interviewed were 158 ( we can see this by looking adding either the total number of upperclassment or adding the total number of people with jobs or no jobs, this value is at the bottom right of the table in the figure attached).
Recall that:
P(A\cup B)=P(A)+P(B)-P(A\cap B)
In the figure provided each of these terms is highlighted in a different color. To convert these values to their matching probabilities we have to divide each by the total number of students, this is due to the fact that the probability is the number of favorable cases (in this case a group matching the qualities we seek) divided by the total amount of cases ( that is the total number of people interviewed). In the figure the answer is provided. For the intersection of the two events we're looking for people that is both an undercalssman and also has a job.
