Hello, my name is Zalgo and I am going to be providing you with the scientific knowledge that you seem to need. In the year 1848, William Thomson or also know as Lord Kelvin was the founder of Zero Kelvin or most commonly known as "Absolute Zero". It is the point to where something has completely frozen. Like other temperature scales, the boiling and freezing points of water are important factors in establishing the scale's range. There are 100 degrees between in which the water boils or freezes (Boils --> 373.16 K) (Freeze --> 273.16)

I hope this helps.

What does Newton’s first law of motion state?
Troyanec [42]

Answer:

Newton's first law states that every object will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless compelled to change its state by the action of an external force. This is normally taken as the definition of inertia. ... If that velocity is zero, then the object remains at rest.

Why does the correct lewis structure of Co2 involve a double bond between each of the oxygen atoms and the carbon atom
kiruha [24]

Answer:

Because both carbon and oxygen are demanded to obey the octet's rule.

Explanation:

Hello.

In this case, recalling the Lewis dot structure of CO₂ which is basically:

O:=:C:=:O

We know oxygen has six valance electron whereas carbon four valence electrons, it means that oxygen needs two electrons in order to attain eight electrons and carbon needs four electrons for the same purpose. In such a way, as carbon dioxide contains one carbon atom and two oxygen atoms we infer that each oxygen is providing two electrons for a total of four to allow the carbon obey the octet as well as oxygen and this is attained via two double bonds.

Best regards.

Do all comets have tails? Explain
Bad White [126]

Answer:

Some (most) has two tails. You can see the tails when the comets go near the sun. There are two types of comet tails, dust and gas ion. Comet tails can be over 600,000 miles (1 million km) long.Because the comet dust particles are so small, they are pushed away from the Sun into a long tail. They are made of ices, such as water, carbon dioxide, ammonia and methane, mixed with dust. There are so much more to discover about comets (which I might not know).

Hope that was helpful.Thank you!!!
