All you have is one point on the line. There are an infinite number of different lines
that can go through it. You can't find the equation of any particular line without
some more information. You need another point, or the slope of the line, or one
of the intercepts of the line.

QUICK PLSS 1. Jabo orders a meal that cost $20.00.
Lelechka [254]

Answer:

$25.80

Step-by-step explanation:

Find the cost of the meal with the sales tax:

20 x 0.075 = 1.5

Add the sales tax to the total

20 + 1.5 = 21.50

Find the tip:

21.5 x 0.2 = 4.3

Add the tip to the total cost so far:

21.50 + 4.30 = 25.80

Find the equation of a line with a slope of 1 and passing through (11;3)
romanna [79]

Step-by-step explanation:

slope(m)=(Y-Y1)/X-X1

here,

M=1

(X1,Y1)=(11,3)

NOW,

m=(Y-Y1)/(X-X1)

1=(Y-3)/(X-11)

1×(X-11)=Y-3

X-11=Y-3

X-Y-11+3=0

X-Y-8=0

X-Y=0 is the required equation.

Two friends board an airliner just before departure time. There are only 11 seats left, 4 of which are aisle seats. How many way
Vadim26 [7]

Using the Fundamental Counting Theorem, it is found that:

The 2 people can arrange themselves in 40 ways.

What is the Fundamental Counting Theorem?

It is a theorem that states that if there are n things, each with n_1, n_2, \cdots, n_n ways to be done, each thing independent of the other, the number of ways they can be done is:

N = n_1 \times n_2 \times \cdots \times n_n

With one people in the aisle and one in the normal seats, the parameters are:

n1 = 4, n2 = 7

With both in the aisle, the parameters is:

n1 = 4, n2 = 3

Hence the number of ways is:

N = 4 x 7 + 4 x 3 = 28 + 12 = 40.

Justin's statement would be the best. In order to change 3/5 into 6/10, both sides would need to be multiplied by 2.
