Answer:14

Step-by-step explanation:

A nickel is 5 cents (20% of dollar)

and a quarter is 25 cents (25% of dollar)

We have given a pile of 42 coins worth of $4.90

Let x be the no nickels and

y be the no of quarter

therefore

x+y=42    -----1

\frac{x}{4}+\frac{y}{20}=4.90 ---2

Solving \left ( 1\right )&\left ( 2\right ) we get

x=14 & y=28

Therefore no of nickels is 14 & no of quarters is 28

1: 2 2/3 - 3/5 <br> 2: 2 1/5 + 1 1/10<br> 3: 2 5/7 - 2/3<br> 4: 1/4 + w = 6 1/3
Yanka [14]

2 2/3 - 3/5 = 2 1/15

2 1/5 + 11/10 = 3 3/10

2 5/7 - 2/3 = 2 1/21

1/4 + w = 6 1/3

w = 6 1/12

Hope this helps :)

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Remark

You have to guess what the question is. I'm assuming that it is either the black triangle to the blue one or the blue one to the black one. Be careful when you post a question to see if you have included a question.

Answer

<em>Ratio of blue to black</em>

The distance of the left most point of the blue triangle to the y axis is 3. The same point on the black one is 1

blue/black = 3/1

<em>Ratio of black to blue</em>

ratio of the black triangle to the blue one is 1/3

The answer will depend on the question. Notice that the two answers are reciprocals.

What is the equation of a circle whose center at (-5, -2) and radius is 2?
aliya0001 [1]

The equation of a circle whose centre (-5,-2) and radius 2 is x^{2}+y^{2}+10x+4y+25=0

What is equation of a circle?

A circle is a closed curve drawn from a fixed point called centre of the circle. The distance between the centre of the circle and the arc of the circle is called the radius of the circle.

The equation of a circle with centre (h, k) radius r is

(x-h)^{2} +(y-k)^{2}=r^{2}

Given center = (-5,-2)  and Radius = 2

Put the Given value in the equation:

= (x-(-5))^{2} +(y-(-2))^{2} = 2^{2}

= (x+5)^{2} +(y+2)^{2}=2^{2}

= (x^{2} +10x+25)+(y^{2}+4y+4)= 4

= x^{2} +y^{2}+10x+ 4y+ 29 = 4

= x^{2} +y^{2}+10x +4y+ 29-4=0

= x^{2} +y^{2}+10x+4y+25=0

So, the equation of the circle whose centre is (-5,-2) and Radius 2 is

x^{2}+y^{2}+10x+4y+25=0
