What is the habitat of the starfish and what does it eat
nirvana33 [79]

Starfish, or more accurately sea stars, fill a niche as predator and prey in marine ecosystems close to shore. With more than 18,000 species in the world, they range from the tropics to the Pacific Northwest and further north. They can grow larger than a foot across and can have as many as 40 arms. While sea stars are known for their ability to regrow lost arms, they have an unusual digestive system, too.

The more air is in the jar, the longer the candle will be able to burn. So the candle in jar 3 probably burned for 4 minutes.
The candle in jar 4 would be able to burn much longer then the others, because it has no lid so air can come through and keep the candle burning.

Consider the predominant types of alternative splicing events that occur in mammals. Which of the following choices represent mR
Nataly_w [17]

As the question is incomplete i have added the complete question in ask for detail section.

Answer:

The correct options are:

A-C-E-G-I

A-C-E-I

A-C-G-I

Explanation:

Alternative splicing of RNA produces many mRNA strands from primary RNA transcript. When alternative splicing of RNA occurs, all the introns and some exons are removed. The removal of these exons produces different mRNA strands which are then translated into diffident kinds of proteins. Alternative splicing of RNA can highly increase the number of new produced proteins from same gene.

How does adaptation fit into Darwin's theory of evolution
mario62 [17]

Answer:

According to Charles Darwin's theory of evolution by natural selection, organisms that possess heritable traits that enable them to better adapt to their environment compared with other members of their species will be more likely to survive, reproduce, and pass more of their genes on to the next generation. So, with a process called Natural Selection, the species who adapts better to their environment survive for more time, until the environment change or until appear another species better to adapt than the first one
