Answer:

The value of b nearest whole number is, 13.

Step-by-step explanation:

We know an \angle B=48^{\circ} and the side adjacent to it i.e, a=12.\

In a right triangle BCA ,

the <u>tangent(tan) </u>of an angle is the length of the opposite side divided by the length of the adjacent side.

i.e, \tan B=\frac{opposite}{Adjacent}=\frac{b}{a}

Substitute the value of a=12 and \angle B=48^{\circ} to solve for b in above expression:

\tan 48^{\circ}=\frac{b}{12}

we have the value of \tan 48^{\circ}=1.110613

then, 1.20012724=\frac{b}{12}

On simplify we get,

b=1.110613 \times 12=13.327356

Therefore, the value of b nearest whole is, 13

In the figure, the triangle ABC is a right triangle, a is the adjacent leg to the angle B, and b is the opposite side to the same angle.

So, you can use the tangent ratio which relates the angle, the opposite leg and the adjacent leg:

tangent (angle B) = b / a => b = a * tan(B)

=> b = 12 * tan(48°) = 13.33≈ 13

For every $3.00 donated to a certain charity by Club A, $1.25 was donated by Club B. If the combined total amount donated to the
shtirl [24]

Answer:

D, $18,000.00

Step-by-step explanation:

Club A

$3 x is donated where x is the number of donations

Club B

$1.25x  is donated where x is the number of donations

The total of donations is 25500.00

Add the donations  times the dollar amount  for Club A and Club B and you get the total amount donated

$3x +$1.25x = 25500.00

Combine like terms

4.25x = 25500.00

Divide by 4.25 on each side

4.25/4.25x = 25500.00/4.25

x =6000

There were 6000 donations

We want to find Club A donation amount

$3 x is the amount donated

3*6000 = 18000

Varvara68 [4.7K]

Answer:

P=30cm

Step-by-step explanation:

So the formula there is to find the Perimeter of the rectangle, so we are going to use it!

Using Substitution:
