I think if you rotated that shape, the radius would be 5 in.
Using A=pi*r^2:
A=pi*5^2
A=78.5 sqr in.

Or 79 sqr in, if you round to the nearest whole number.

Answer:   78.5\ cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

From the given we can see that there is a  rectangle is rotated about a line bisecting its length in segment of 5 cm in each.

Since the base will be a circle, then the area of the base will be :-

\text{Area of base}=\pi r^2\\\\\\\Rightarrow\text{Area of base}=3.14\times(5)^2\\\\\\\Rightarrow\text{Area of base}=78.5\ cm^2

Hence, the base area of the resulting figure = 78.5\ cm^2

What is the measure of ACE in the diagram below?<br><br> A. 46<br> B. 104<br> C. 29<br> D. 58
beks73 [17]

Answer:

C

Step-by-step explanation:

The secant- secant angle ACE is half the difference of the measures of the intercepted arcs, that is

∠ ACE = \frac{1}{2} (AE - BD ) = \frac{1}{2} (104 - 46)° = \frac{1}{2} × 58° = 29° → C

Two tapes, red and green, with lengths of 415 feet and 780 feet respectively are to be cut into pieces of equal length without r
ICE Princess25 [194]

Answer:

The greatest possible length of the pieces is 5 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

Red = 415 feet

Green = 780 feet

Find the greatest possible length of the pieces.

Find the Highest common factor

415 = 1, 5, 83, 415

780 = 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 13, 15, 20, 26, 30, 39, 52, 60, 65, 78, 130, 156, 195, 260, 390 and 780

The Highest common factor of 415 and 780 is 5

The greatest possible length of the pieces is 5 feet

Red = 415/5

= 83 pieces

Green = 780/5

= 156 pieces
