2x + 5y = 2
-3x - y =-3

-3x - y = -3
y = 3x - 3

substitute y = 3x - 3 into the first equation.

2x + 5y = 2
2x + 5(3x - 3) = 2
2x + 15x - 15 = 2
17x - 15 = 2

solve for x in 17x - 15 = 2

17x - 15 = 2
17x = 2 + 15
17x = 17
x = 1

substitute x = 1 into y = 3x - 3

y = 3x - 3
y = 3(1) - 3
y = 3 - 3
y = 0

(1, 0) << the answer

hope this helped, God bless!

Your friend incorrectly says that point A and point B represent opposite integers. What is the opposite of the integer represent
Goryan [66]

Looking at the graph of the functions, the opposite of the integer represented by point A is 1/10.

My friend's error is that he fail to recognize that the value of Point A is different from Point b on the graph.

<h3>What is opposite integers?</h3>

This is known to be the a term that connote a pair of opposite integers which have the negative and positive aspect of a number altogether.

Note that  , 4 and -4 are a pair of opposite integers. So,, we can call them opposites due to the fact that they are on the opposite sides of the number line

From the graph attached, you can see that they are not pair because the values of Point B is more than that of Point A because Point A is at one step from 5 while point B is at 2 steps from 5.

Therefore, Looking at the graph of the functions, the opposite of the integer represented by point A is 1/10. My friend's error is that he fail to recognize that the value of Point A is different from Point b on the graph.

Norgestrel and ethinyl estradiol tablets are available containing 0.5 mg of norgestrel and 50 μg of ethinyl estradiol. How many
Bogdan [553]

Answer:

5g of norgestel are used in making 10,000 tablets.

0.5g of ethinyl estradiol are used in making 10,000 tablets.

Step-by-step explanation:

This problem can be solved as a rule of three problem.

In a rule of three problem, the first step is identifying the measures and how they are related, if their relationship is direct of inverse.

When the relationship between the measures is direct, as the value of one measure increases, the value of the other measure is going to increase too.

When the relationship between the measures is inverse, as the value of one measure increases, the value of the other measure will decrease.

Unit conversion problems, like this one, is an example of a direct relationship between measures.

First step: Grams of norgestrel

Each tablet contais 0.5mg of norgestrel. How many miligrams are in 10,000 tablets?

1 tablet - 0.5 mg

10,000 tablets - x mg

x = 10,000*0.5

x = 5,000 mg

Now we have to convert 5,000 mg to g. Each g has 1,000 mg. So:

1g - 1,000 mg

xg - 5,000 mg

1,000x = 5,000

x = \frac{5,000}{1,000}

x = 5g,

5g of norgestel are used in making 10,000 tablets.

Final step: Grams of ethinyl estradiol

50ug = 0.05 mg.

So

1 tablet - 0.05mg

10,000 tablets - xg

x = 10,000*0.05

x = 500 g

Now we have to convert 500 mg to g. Each g has 1,000 mg. So:

1g - 1,000 mg

xg - 500 mg

1,000x = 500

x = \frac{500}{1,000}

x = 0.5g,

0.5g of ethinyl estradiol are used in making 10,000 tablets.

The width is 7 and the diagonal is 25 what is the height
Korvikt [17]
The height is 24.

We can use Pythagorean’s Theorem: a^2+b^2=c^2

substituting values we get:

a^2+7^2=25^2

Solving we get:
a^2+49=625
a^2=576
a=24.

So the height is 24.

Hope this helps!

169= (24/2)^2 +(d/2)^2
OlgaM077 [116]

Answer: d = ±10

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

169 = (\frac{24}{2})^{2} + (\frac{d}{2})^{2}

169 = (12)² + \frac{d^{2}}{4}

169 = 144  + \frac{d^{2}}{4}

25 =            \frac{d^{2}}{4}

100 = d²

√100 = √d²

 ±10 = d

Naneth deposited php1. 200in a savings account that pays 4%interest in 1 year. How much interest will her money earn in a year?
Mnenie [13.5K]

Answer: 8

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Money deposited P=200

Interest rate R=4\%

Time period T=1\ yr

For a year simple and compound interest is the same

\therefore \text{Interest}=\dfrac{P\times R\times T}{100}\\\\\Rightarrow \text{Interest}=\dfrac{200\times 4\times 1}{100}\\\\\Rightarrow 8

Thus, interest earned is 8 units
