If f(X) = 2X² - 30 find f(4)


f(4) = 2*4² - 30 = 2*16 - 30 = 32 - 30 = 2

Plug 4 in for x.

2(4)^2 - 30

square first

2*16 - 30

now multiply

32 - 30

now subtract

f(4) = 2

The answer is 2!

y = 18

The height our rectangle will be 18, and our base will be 2*x = 2*3 = 6
Area = base x height = 18 * 6 = 108
