Answer:

The premenstrual period can affect women both physically and psychologically.

Explanation:

The main cause of PMS is hormonal change during the menstrual period, which interferes with the central nervous system. There seems to be a connection between female sex hormones, endorphins (natural substances linked to the sensation of pleasure) and neurotransmitters such as serotonin. The result is that women begin to have both psychological and physical changes, such as:

  • Depression; Sadness and desire to cry;
  • Irritability and anxiety;
  • Insomnia, excessive hunger or lack of appetite;
  • Somnolence; Difficulty concentrating and tiredness.
  • Headache;
  • Acne;
  • Weight gain;
  • Swelling in the breasts;
  • Musculoskeletal pains;
  • Abdominal distension.

Answer:

The regeneration of new cells in your skin.

Explanation:

It takes about 28 days for young skin cells to reach the surface, however in mature skin they need more time. And that's why more dead cells accumulate in the skin, because the process is slower. When the cells are formed, they will begin to move towards the surface of your epidermis. This usually lasts about from two weeks to a month. The more mature cells die and reach the surface of your skin, detach from your body in the form of scales.
