Answer:

2014 : 6,468

Step-by-step explanation:

The manager of an online news service received the report given in the table on the number of subscriptions sold by the service.

Table :

2012  :  5,600

2013  :   5,880

The manager estimated that the percent increase from 2012 to 2013 would be half the percent increase from 2013 to 2014.

It means he estimated that the percent would be double in the next year.

number of increase in 2012 to 2013 = 5880 - 5600 = 280

percentage of increase from 2012 to 2013 = \frac{280}{5600}\times 100

                                                                      = 0.05 × 100

                                                                      = 5%

this would be half the percent increase from 2013 to 2014. Therefore, in 2014 it would be 10% increase.

10% of increase in 2014 = 5880 + (10% of 5880)

                                       = 5880 + (\frac{10}{100}\times 5880)

                                       = 5880 + (0.10 × 5880)

                                       = 5880 + 588

                                       = 6,468

In 2014 subscriptions would be sold 6,468.
