So the 1/2 of the CDs that are scratched and the 1/5 that will not play properly would be counted towards the "How many will not work play properly."

So, you just want to find 1/2 of the CD count, and 1/5 of the CD count, and add them together.

1/2 of the CD count:

Just multiply 1/2 by 40. 1/2 * 40 = 40/2 = 20

So 1/2 of the CD count = 20.

Then 1/5:

1/5 * 40

40/5

8

So 8 = 1/5 of 40.

Since the total would be those two added together, you would add 8 and 20 together.

8 + 20 = 28

1/2 of 40= 20

40/5=8

20+8=28

28 of your CDs will not work properly.

I hope this helps!

Nataliya [291]

Answer:

28.5^2

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula is, b(base)+c(height)= b+c over 2.  b+c/2.

B=19ft in this problem.

C=38ft

Knowing this, we can further simplify.

19+38/2

Now, we add 19 and 38.

(57)

57/2= 28.5

So, the anwser is 28.5^2

Help me answer this question :((((
ss7ja [257]

Step-by-step explanation:

I cannot give an exact result but I will try.

What it means by this is to continue the graph up to 2010.

Based on its trajectory, you would simply draw the line on.

If I made a prediction on what it would end up on in 2010, I would say 50 percent.
