it guards against tyranny because in federalism the power is divided by the federal government and the state government. Not all the power goes to one person or group so the power will be split. Which that means that no one can do what they want with the power. It prevents all the power going to one person or group. :)

it separates power, making it more difficult for any one government figure to seize control. If a portion of power is given to the states, it takes away from the central government. So, even if someone took control of the entire main government in DC, they wouldn't have total influence over all public policy. It's all explained in-depth in The Federalist Papers, mainly the ones by Madison No. 40-58

Nat2105 [25]

In my personal opinion, I think that President Lincoln did the wrong thing by denying the constitutional rights of the group called Copperheads.

What is a Constitutional Right?

This refers to the human rights that are protected by the Constitution which gives privileges such as freedom of speech, association, etc.

Hence, we can see that during wartime when the president has more power, President Lincoln took away the rights of the Copperheads when he silenced them from protesting the war as this set a bad precedent.

Marysya12 [62]

Answer: Government regulation was the farmers' solution to the problem of monopoly. Third, there was a perceived shortage of credit and money. Farmers believed that interest rates were too high because of monopolistic lenders, and the money supply was inadequate, producing deflation.
