The answer is -7.4 because you switch from positive to negative

The answer is 7.4 because when having any number the absolute value is that number as long as it is not a negative number. For example the absolute value of 4.4 is 4.4. same goes for your number. Also say the number is -7.4 then the absolute value is 7.4. Just dropping the negative part.

Nuetrik [128]
2.52 pounds + 1.26 pounds = 3.78 pounds of salad ÷ 18 people = .21 pounds of salad per person

you add the pounds because that is everything she used to make the salad. then you divide by 18 because there are 18 people eating the salad and everyone gets exactly the same amount. Hope this helps :) this should help if you have more questions like this :)
(x pounds + y pounds = total pounds, total pounds ÷ # of people = pounds per person)

3. Keenen gets on the train to ride around the park. As he is riding the train the conductorsays that they are going to build a
Nataly [62]
First, we need to get the slope of the equation of the train tracks. We can transform the given equation into the slope-intercept form.
4x +2y = 16
y = -2x +8

The slope of the equation is -2.

A perpendicular line will have the same slope but the opposite sign.
So, the slope of the line of the train crossing is 2. Since, it will pass through the point (8,15), the slope-intercept form can also be used to solve for the equation.
 y = mx + b

The slope is 2, so m=2. We solve b by substituting the coordinates.
15 = 2(8) +b
b = -11

The equation is now,
y = -2x - 11

Or it can also be expresses as:
2x - y = 11

Using the sum of the angle measures of a triangle, m angleC=?
Vedmedyk [2.9K]

Answer:

m∠C = 66°

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

m∠ A = 33°

m∠ B = 81°

To determine

m∠C = ?

We know that sum of angles of a triangle is 180°.

so using the equation

m∠ A + m∠ B +  m∠C = 180°

substituting m∠ A = 33°, and m∠ B = 81° in the equatio

33° + 81°+m∠C= 180°

114° + m∠C = 180°

m∠C = 180° - 114°

m∠C = 66°

Therefore,

  • m∠C = 66°
