The answer is -7.4 because you switch from positive to negative

The answer is 7.4 because when having any number the absolute value is that number as long as it is not a negative number. For example the absolute value of 4.4 is 4.4. same goes for your number. Also say the number is -7.4 then the absolute value is 7.4. Just dropping the negative part.

Are my answers correct? Precalculus!!
SVETLANKA909090 [29]

Answer:

Unfortunately, your answer is not right.

Step-by-step explanation:

The functions whose graphs do not have asymptotes are the power and the root.

The power function has no asymptote, its domain and rank are all the real.

To verify that the power function does not have an asymptote, let us make the following analysis:

The function y = x ^ n , when x approaches infinity, where does y tend? Of course it tends to infinity as well, therefore it has no horizontal asymptotes (and neither vertical nor oblique)

With respect to the function y= \frac{1}{x} we can verify that if it has asymptote horizontal in y = 0. Since when x approaches infinity the function is closer to the value 0.

For example: 1/2 = 0.5;   1/1000 = 0.001;    1/100000 = 0.00001 and so on. As "x" grows "y" approaches zero

Also, when x approaches 0, the function approaches infinity, in other words, when x tends to 0 y tends to infinity. For example: 1 / 0.5 = 2; 1 / 0.1 = 10; 1 / 0.01 = 100 and so on. This means that the function also has an asymptote at x = 0

Please help I will give brainliest!
Burka [1]
Answer: the statement “measure of <4 is 105 degrees” is incorrect.

Explanation: This is because since both angles 1 and 3 are vertical, this means they are both 95. This gives us 190 (95x2). Now we subtract this from 360 which gives us 170. Since angles 2 and 4 are vertical, we divide by 2, which gives us 85, not 105.

Hope this helps! :)

Answer:

3

Step-by-step explanation:

2x + 3 = -x + 12

subtract 3 from both sides

2x = - x + 9

add x to both sides

3x = 9

What is the point-slope form of a line with a slope -3 that contains the point (10,-1)
Citrus2011 [14]
<h2>y + 1 = -3(x - 10)</h2>

Here's the formula:

y - y1 = m(x - x1)

Substitute numbers accordingly:

y1: so 1 goes in the y1 spot (you switch the signs because it was already negative)

x1:  and 10 goes to the x1 spot

m:  -3 belongs in m
