The answer would be b=2 because if you multiply 2(2) you get 4. Then 4+5=9. I hope that makes sense.

Suppose r(t)= cos(t)i+sin(t)j+(2t)k represents the position of a particle on a helix, where Z is the height of the particle abov
Gwar [14]

Answer:

The parametric equations for the tangent line are :

x = Cos(10) - t×Sin(10)

y = Sin(10) + t×Cos(10)

z = 20 + 2t

Step-by-step explanation:

When Z=20:

Z=2t=20 ⇒ t=10

The point of tangency is:

r(10)= Cos(10) i + Sin(10) j + 20 k

We have to find the derivative of r(t) to get the tangent line:

r'(t)= -Sin(t) i + Cos(t) j + 2 k

The direction vector at t=10 is:

r'(10)= -Sin(10) i + Cos(10) j + 2 k

So, the equation of the tangent line is given by:

x = cos 10 -t×Sin(10)

y = sin 10 + t×Cos(10)

z = 20 + 2t

Nata [24]

Answer:

B. (x, y) --> (x, y + 5)

Step-by-step explanation:

Y is up and down

X is left and right

So assuming that Y is north she needs to go 5 units up Y

(x, y + 5) = (x, 5y)

Convert the rectangular coordinates (4√3,−4) to polar form. Let r>0 and 0≤θ<2π.
spayn [35]

Answer:

(8,150)

Step-by-step explanation:

Polar form is in,

(r,theta).

To find r, apply pythagorean theorem using both coordinates to find r.

(4 \sqrt{3} ) {}^{2}  + ( - 4 {}^{2} ) =  {r}^{2}

48 + 16 =  {r}^{2}

r = 8

To find theta, since we know the opposite and adjacent side, apply the tangent function.

\tan(x)  =  \frac{ - 4}{4 \sqrt{3} }

Apply inverse tan function

\tan {}^{ - 1} ( \frac{ - 4}{4 \sqrt{3} } )  =  - 30

Since the degrees have to be in between 0 and 360. Add 180 to -30.

- 30 + 180 = 150

So the answer is

(8,150).

ollegr [7]

Answer:A

Step-by-step explanation:

There is a pattern where every two days the previous log is multiplied by three. If you divide 3 by 2 you get 1.5 this is the increase per one day so just multiply day 6 by 1.5 to get the answer for day 7.
