x^ \frac{m}{n}= \sqrt[n]{x^m}
pemdas, so exponent first before multiply
4(x^1/2)=4x^2
this is different from
(4x)^1/2

so

x^ \frac{1}{2}= \sqrt[2]{x^1}
times that by 4

Use properties of equality to Solve 7+3x = 5x+13 for x
mario62 [17]
We basically have to cancel values on both sides until they are both on common ground.

7 + 3x = 5x + 13

-7 from both sides...

3x = 5x + 6

-5x from both sides...

-2x = 6

/-2 from both sides...

x = -3

Hope this helps!

Find the interest rate r given I=$ 56,P=450 and t = 6 years , round your answer to the nearest
m_a_m_a [10]

Answer:

0.163

Step-by-step explanation:

P = I (1 + r)ᵗ

450 = 56 (1 + r)⁶

8.036 = (1 + r)⁶

log₆ 8.036 = 1 + r

log 8.036 / log 6 = 1 + r

1.163 = 1 + r

r = 0.163

Pls WILL GIVE BRAINLiEST
notsponge [240]

Answer:

Kevin can afford to have 15 guests at his party.

Step-by-step explanation:

You know that Kevin's party costs $52, so you can subtract 52 from 97, which is 45. So, he can spend $45 dollars on guests. $45 divided by 3, the amount it takes for each guest, to get 15.

A recent survey shows that the probability of a college student drinking alcohol is 0.6. Further, given that the student is over
solong [7]

Answer: 0.5143

Step-by-step explanation:

Probability of students who are over 21 years old = 30% = 0.3

Probability of students who are under 21 years old = 100% - 30% = 70% = 0.7

Probability of drinking alcohol for over 21 = 80% = 0.8

Probability of not drinking alcohol for over 21 = 100%- 80% = 20% = 0.2

Let the probability of the students who are not over 21, that drink alcohol be p.

Total probability of a college student drinking alcohol = (0.3 × 0.8) + (0.7 × p)

0.6 = (0.3 × 0.8) + (0.7 × p)

0.6 = 0.24 + 0.7p

0.7p = 0.6 - 0.24

0.7p = 0.36

p = 0.36/0.7

p = 0.5143

The probability of the students who are not over 21, that drink alcohol is 0.5143.
