Answer:

7 glasses

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Jessica is filling glasses with water. Each glass holds \frac{3}{5} cup of water. She pours 4\frac{1}{5} cups of water into the glasses.

To find: The number of glasses she fill with water.

Solution:

Each glass holds \frac{3}{5} cup of water.

She pours 4\frac{1}{5} cups of water into the glasses.

To find the number of glasses she fill with water, we need to divide the total volume of water with the volume in each glass.

So, the number of glasses she fill with water can be calculated as

=\frac{4\frac{1}{5}}{\frac{3}{5}}

= \frac{\frac{21}{5}}{\frac{3}{5} }

=\frac{21}{5}\times\frac{5}{3}

=\frac{21}{3}

=7

So, she can fill 7 such glasses with water.

The probability of drawing two aces from a standard deck is 0.0059. We know this probability, but we don't know if the first car
ivanzaharov [21]

Answer:

Option C is right

C. They are independent because, based on the probability, the first ace was replaced before drawing the second ace.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that the  probability of drawing two aces from a standard deck is 0.0059

If first card is drawn and replaced then this probability would change.  By making draws with replacement we make each event independent of the other

Drawing ace in I draw has probability equal to 4/52, when we replace the I card again drawing age has probability equal to same 4/52

So if the two draws are defined as event A and event B,  the events are  independent

C. They are independent because, based on the probability, the first ace was replaced before drawing the second ace.

4/5w-12=2/3w<br> what is the step by step answer to those equation?
Mariulka [41]
Kulay, there is no such thing as a "step by step answer" here.  You seem to want a "step by step solution."

I must assume that by 4/5 you actually meant (4/5) and that by 2/3 you meant (2/3).  Then your equation becomes:

(4/5)w - 12 = (2/3)w.

The LCD here is 5*3, or 15, so mult. every term by 15:

12w - 180 = 10w.
Add 180 to both sides, obtaining 12 w - 180 + 180 = 10w + 180.

Then 12w = 10w + 180.  Simplifying, 2w = 180.    What is w?

Answer:

The right answer is:

Option OB: f(1) = -9

Common difference: 7

Step-by-step explanation:

Given sequence is:

-9, -2, 5, 12,...

Here the first number is f(1)

Common Difference:

Common difference is the difference between consecutive terms of an arithmetic sequence. It is denoted by d.

In the given sequence,

f(1) = -9

f(2) = -2

f(3) = 5

d=f(2)-f(1) = -2-(-9) = -2+9 = 7\\d = f(3)-f(2) = 5-(-2) = 5+2 = 7

Hence,

The right answer is:

Option OB: f(1) = -9

Common difference: 7
