\left[\begin{array}{ccc}1&3&7\\1&1&1\end{array}\right]
multiply 2nd row by -1 and add to first row
\left[\begin{array}{ccc}0&2&6\\1&1&1\end{array}\right]
divide the 1st row by 2
\left[\begin{array}{ccc}0&1&3\\1&1&1\end{array}\right]
multiply the first row by -1 and add to 2nd row
\left[\begin{array}{ccc}0&1&3\\1&0&-2\end{array}\right]

now we know
y+3=0
x-2=0

therefor
y=-3
x=2

What is the common ratio for the geometric sequence? 32, 8, 2, 12, ... Enter your answer in the box.
mamaluj [8]

Answer:

Given sequence is not a geometric progression and there will be no common ration for this sequence.

Step-by-step explanation:

Need to determine common ration for the following geometric sequence

32, 8, 2, 12, ...

In given geometric sequence

a1 = 32, a2=8, a3=2, a4=12 ……….

Common ratio = \frac{a_2}{a_1} =\frac{a_3}{a_2} =\frac{a_4}{a_3}

\frac{a_2}{a_1}=\frac{8}{32}=\frac{1}{4}

\frac{a_3}{a_2} =\frac{2}{8}=\frac{1}{4}

\frac{a_4}{a_3}=\frac{12}{2}=6

Since \frac{a_2}{a_1}=\frac{a_3}{a_2}\neq\frac{a_4}{a_3}  so we can say that given sequence is not a geometric progression and there will no no common ration for this sequence.

Plssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
eduard

Answer:

34 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

Lets call M the number of hours that Maddie volunteered. Ryan volunteered 1 + 3×M hours, and altogether they volunteered 45 hours, so:

1 + 3×M + M = 45

1 + 4M = 45 Subtract 1 in both sides

4M = 44 Divide both sides by 4

M = 11 hours

So Maddie volunteered 11 hours, and Ryan volunteered

1 + 3×11 = 34 hours

Help!!! I just need Help on number 6 please!!!!!!!! ASAP!!!
PtichkaEL [24]

Answer:

3

Step-by-step explanation:

\sqrt{12} =3.46 (2 decimal places)

If you want to arrange the tiles into a square, you will need 3.46 in each row/column.

This is physically impossible, hence you round it down to 3.

(If you round it up, you won't have enough tiles since 4*4=16)

Thus, the square area will be 3*3=9

Tiles left: 12-9=3
