She has 1 quarter, 1 dime and 13 nickels. So the probability that one coin at random is a nickel is 13/15.

My work:

1$= 100

1 quarter=25

1 dime=10

1+1+13= 15

25×1= 25

10×1= 10

5×13= 65

65+25+10= 100

Answer:

13/15

Step-by-step explanation:

she has at least one of every coin, they add up to $1.00, and Annie has 15 coins total

15-1 nickel -1 dimes -1 quarter=12 coins

$1-0.05-0.1-0.25=$0.6

cuz 12*0.05=0.6

13 nickels + 1 dimes + 1 quarter is the only possible combo.

pro (1 coin is nickel)=no of nickels/total no. of coins

=13/15

Identify the graph of 4x^2+5y^2=20 for T(5,-6) and write an equation of the translated or rotated graph in general form. (pictur
NikAS [45]

Answer:

b. ellipse; 4x^2+5y^2-40x+60y+260=0

Step-by-step explanation:

The graph of 4x^2+5y^2=20 an ellipse because the coefficients of the quadratic terms are not the same.

This ellipse is centered at the origin. If this ellipse is translated  so that its center is now at (5,-6).

Then the translated ellipse will now have equation.

4(x-5)^2+5(y+6)^2=20

We expand to get;

4(x^2-10x+25)+5(y^2+12y+36)=20

4x^2-40x+100+5y^2+60y+180=20

4x^2+5y^2-40x+60y+100+180-20=0

4x^2+5y^2-40x+60y+260=0

In 36 years, Ishaan will be 3 times as old as he is right now. How old is he right now?
Lady_Fox [76]

Answer: He is 18 years old right now.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the present age of Ishaan be x

After 36 years,

his age will be x+36

According to question,

it is mentioned that Ishaan will be 3 times as old as he is right now ,

So, we will frame it in equation:

x+36=3x\\\\36=3x-x\\\\36=2x\\\\x=\frac{36}{2}\\\\x=18\ years

Hence, he is 18 years old right now.

A. Draw the graph of the function y = |x - 2| - 1. B. Label the vertex and all intercepts. Upload a copy of your handwritten gra
hjlf

Step-by-step explanation:

y = |x - 2| - 1

Given equation is in the form of y=|x-h|+k

Where (h,k) is the vertex

h = 2  and k =-1

So (2, -1) is the vertex for the given function

To find x intercepts we plug in 0 for y

we will get two values for x because of absolute function

0 = |x-2| -1

add 1 on both sides

|x-2| =1

x-2 =1                          and x-2 =-1

x= 3                          and x= 1

So x intercepts are (1,0)  and (3,0)

the graph is attached below

The temperature during one day in Auckland decreases from 21°C to 17°C. Calculate the percentage decrease correct to 3 significa
Liula [17]

Answer:

19.04%

Step-by-step explanation:

The temperature decreases from 21°C to 17°C.

We need to find the percentage decrease in the value of temperatures.

The percentage decrease in any value is given by :

\%=\dfrac{|\text{initial value-final value}|}{\text{initial value}}\times 100\\\\=\dfrac{21-17}{21}\times 100\\\\=19.04\%

So, the required percentage decrease is 19.04%.
