Electronegativity increases as you move up the periodic table.
Electronegativity increases as you move across the periodic table from left to right.

Why is co2 so bad for our bodies and why do we need to remove it? In the context of protons and ions acid/base solution.
dezoksy [38]
Hopefully this is correct and I believe CO2 is bad because the cells in the body need oxygen to then release energy from food efficiently by carrying out aerobic respiration. And a waste product of aerobic respiration is Carbon Dioxide. And Carbon dioxide must be removed from our bodies or it them makes the blood dangerously acidic.

Hope this helps :)

A solution that has a pOH of 5.36 is-
sdas [7]

Answer:

Option D

Explanation:

A solution is neutral if it contains equal concentrations of hydronium and hydroxide ions; acidic if it contains a greater concentration of hydronium ions than hydroxide ions; and basic if it contains a lesser concentration of hydronium ions than hydroxide ions.

A common means of expressing quantities, the values of which may span many orders of magnitude, is to use a logarithmic scale.

The hydroxide ion molarity may be expressed as a p-function, or pOH.

pOH = −log[OH−]

Basic solutions are those with hydronium ion molarities less than 1.0 × 10−7 M and hydroxide ion molarities greater than 1.0 × 10−7 M (corresponding to pH values greater than 7.00 and pOH values less than 7.00).

What are the affects of coffee for an average 12 year old?
lord [1]
Most young children already have plenty of energy without the need for coffee to sustain them throughout the day, so at least until they are 12 years old, it's best to avoid giving your kids coffee if possible

How many moles of oxygen are produced when 26.5 mol of aluminum oxide are decomposed?
spayn [35]
The balanced chemical reaction is written as:

<span>2Al2O3 = 4Al + 3O2

We are given the amount of aluminum oxide used in the reaction. This will be the starting point for the calculations. We do as follows:

26.5 mol Al2O3 ( 3 mol O2 / 2 mol Al2O3 ) = 39.75 mol O2 produced</span>

Match each vocabulary word with its definition. match the items in the left column to the items in the right column. 1 . periodi
Angelina_Jolie [31]

Answer:

Explanation:

1 . periodicity

   repeating nature of atomic structure

Periodicity is the repeating nature or trend of an atom on the periodic table. Periodicity can be inform of ionization energy, atomic radius, nuclear charge etc.

2 . shell

     location of an electron

Electrons are located in shells. It is where electrons are found in an atom and the probability of finding electrons there are high

3 . non-metals

     high ionization energies

Non-metals have high ionization energies which is the energy required to remove a loosely bonded electron in an atom. Metals have low ionization energies.

4 . noble gases

       least reactive family

Noble gases are called inert gases. They have complete electronic configuration and this makes them unreactive.

5 . neutral

       charge on a neutron

Neutrons have no charge on them. They are subatomic particles found in the nucleus alongside the protons

6 . repel

         like charges

   Like charges repel one another

7 . attract

         unlike charges

Unlike  charges attracts. Positve attracts negative charges.
