Answer:

Explanation:

Terresterial comes from the greek work <em>"terra", </em>which means Earth. So when you hear the word "<em>terresterial </em>" think that it means "like Earth". More specifically, <u>it means that a planet is </u><u>SOLID</u><u>, like the Earth is</u>. So, to figure out the answer to your question, let's list the planets starting with the ones closest to the sun and work out way out toward deep space. We can also describe each planet a bit as we list them.

<u>Mercury</u> - Closest to the Sun and, because of that, its very hot here. A lot of the ground on this planet is lava made of molten metal which is a liquid BUT there is also solid ground so it is terresterial. ✓

<u>Venus</u> - 2nd closest to the Sun. There is ground here, so it's terresterial. ✓

<u>Earth</u> - 3rd closest to the sun. There is solid ground here too so... Terresterial ✓

<u>Mars</u> - Also Solid. Terresterial ✓

<u>Jupiter</u> - Jupiter is made of Gas. If you went there, there would be nothing solid to walk on, but instead simply pass through it like it was a cloud. Therefore it is NOT terresterial

<u>Saturn</u> - Also a "Gas Giant" plant. (They are called gas giants because these planets are huge! You could fit 764 planet Earths inside of Saturn and over 1300 Earths could fit inside Jupiter!) Gas = NOT terresterial

<u>Uranus</u> - Another Gas Giant. Not terresterial

<u>Neptune</u> - The last of the gas giant planets and the furthest from the Sun. Again, its made of gas so its... not terresterial!

If you have trouble remembering the order, try memorizing this:

<em>    "</em><em>M</em><em>y   -   </em><em>V</em><em>ery  -  </em><em>E</em><em>pic - </em><em>M</em><em>other - </em><em>J</em><em>ust  -  </em><em>S</em><em>erved  -   </em><em>U</em><em>s   -   </em><em>N</em><em>achos" </em>

Mercury - Venus - Earth - Mars - Jupiter - Saturn - Uranus - Neptune

Let me know if you need any more help! I am a scientist at NASA and my research focuses on all the planets you're currently learning about! Im happy to help out where I can.

Answer:

In a population, a specific gene has two alleles, 'A' and 'a.' Individuals with

genotype 'aa' die in early childhood. Individuals with genotype 'Aa' have a

higher rate of surviving and reproducing than individuals with genotype 'AA.'

This phenomenon is called survival of the fittest, Darwins law which entails the fittest organisms survives while the ones that could not would go into extinction

Explain over production and reproduction
Mandarinka [93]

Explanation:

<h2>Overproduction in Natural Selection </h2>

Natural selection occurs in specific populations of organisms because of several factors. It begins with overproduction. Overproduction by definition, in biology, means that each generation has more offspring than can be supported by the environment. Because of this, competition takes place for limited resources. Individuals have traits that are passed down to offspring. Some of these traits give individuals an advantage when it comes to surviving to reproduce. The organisms with these traits are more likely to live and have offspring who will inherit the helpful traits.
