I would say all of them but if I had to choose one I would say the days would get shorter because if earth began to spin faster then the sun would only be out for a couple of hrs and we would mostly see night than day

If Earth began to spin faster, then the days would be shorter. That is ... less than 24 hours. Depending on how fast the spin is, the days would be 22 hours or 20 hours or 16 hours Etc. Whatever the total time became, half of it would be daylight and the other half would be Darkness.

If the thermal energy of the system increases by 400 J, and 1,100 J of heat were added to the system, how much work did the syst
Luba_88 [7]

700 J is the work done by the system.

<u>Explanation:</u>

The first law of thermodynamics is that the change in internal energy of the system is equal to the net heat transfer to the system minus the complete work performed by the system.

                  \Delta \boldsymbol{U}=\boldsymbol{Q}-\boldsymbol{W}

Where,

∆U – Change in internal energy

Q – Heat transfer to the system

Q – Work done

Here,

<u>Given data:</u>

∆U - 400 J

Q - 1100 J

We need to the work done by the system (W)

By applying the given values in the above equation, we get

400 = 1100 - W

W = 1100 - 400 = 700 J

Simple harmonic motion occurs when an object is displaced from its stable equilibrium position and the force or torque pushing i
Arisa [49]

Answer:

force is of the LINEAR type

Explanation:

In simple harmonic movements the restoring force is of the Hooke e-force type, which has the form

            F = - k (x-x₀)

where x₀ is the initial length of the spring.

Therefore we can see this force is of the LINEAR type

What is simple harmonic oscillation? express your answer verbally, mathematically, and visually.
Morgarella [4.7K]

Simple harmonic motion is the motion in objects where the restoring for d is directly proportional to the body displacement.

<h3>What is simple harmonic motion?</h3>

Simple harmonic motion a type of periodic motion where the force that restores moving object to it's right position is directly proportional to the magnitude of body's displacement and this normally acts towards the object's equilibrium position.

The formulate for simple harmonic motion are

,F = −kx, where F is the force, x is the displacement, and k is a constanst. An example of a simple harmonic oscillator is the vibration of a mass attached to a vertical spring.

Simple harmonic oscillator can be represented by the equation x ( t ) = A cos ⁡ ( 2 π f t ) x(t) = A\cos(2\pi f t) x(t)=Acos(2πft)x,

where t is period.

x is displacement

A is amplitude.

The gravitational constant G was first measured accurately by Henry Cavendish in 1798. He used an exquisitely sensitive balance
belka [17]

The gravitational force between the spheres is

F_{\rm g}=\dfrac{G(188\,\mathrm{kg})(0.93\,\mathrm{kg})}{(0.27\,\mathrm m)^2}\approx1.6\times10^{-7}\,\mathrm N

where <em>G</em> = 6.674 x 10⁻¹¹ N m²/kg².

The weight of the lighter sphere is

F_{\rm w}=(0.93\,\mathrm{kg})g\approx9.1\,\mathrm N

where <em>g</em> = 9.80 m/s².

The ratio between the two forces is then

\dfrac{F_{\rm g}}{F_{\rm w}}\approx1.8\times10^{-8}
