Consider the hypothesis below and answer the question that follows.
OverLord2011 [107]

Answer:

The correct answer is the option C.

Which is we add equal amount of salt in all the water samples.

Explanation:

 • As in experiment we have to indicate that the boiling point of water increases with the addition of salt.
 • Now we also know that water contains many salts as compared to the distilled water.
 • So the boiling points of simple water and distilled water would be bit different.
 • So we cannot choose one for our experiment. Instead we use all water samples of equal volume adding equal amount of salt in all samples.
 • Then we will compare results for a net answer/result of experiment.

Paclitaxel affects not only cancer cells, but normal cells as well. Would the effects of Paclitaxel be seen first in organs that
Svetlanka [38]

Answer: The most affected would be organs that have QUICKLY dividing cells (like the intestine and hair follicles).

Explanation:

Cancer cells are cells that divides uncontrollably giving rise to a mass of tissue called tumour. They grow faster than a normal cell in an uncoordinated manner, and continues to grow after the initial stimulus has ceased.

Paclitaxel is a drug that is approved for the treatment of cancer affecting different parts of the body. It's a microtubule-stabilizing drug whose mechanism of action is to induce mitotic arrest in the cancer cells.

Paclitaxel in its cause of action not only affect cancer cells but normal cells as well. To justify this statement, as stated earlier, the mechanism of action of paclitaxel is to induce mitotic arrest. Therefore the cells of organs where rapid mitosis occurs would be most affected. Skin cells, hair follicles and the cells lining our intestines (epithelial cells) all have high rates of mitosis as these tissues constantly need to be replaced.

kykrilka [37]

Answer:

Answered below

Explanation:

On piercing his foot, the pain receptors called nociceptors, found in the skin, are activated. Nociceptors exist at the nerve endings of the primary afferent neurons. Signals travel along the first order neurons which have cell bodies within the dorsal root ganglia of the spinal cord. In the dorsal root ganglia, the signals are taken up at the synapse with the second order neurons which have cell bodies in the nuclei of the cranial nerves within the brainstem. These neurons ascend cranially in the spinothalamic tract to the thalamus. The third order neurons lie within the ventral posterolateral nucleus of the thalamus. They terminate at the somatosensory cortex where the signals are being processed and returned as a sensation of pain.
