Answer:

x = 80, y = 122

Step-by-step explanation:

I got this equation by using vertical angles to create a complimentary angle pair (they sum to 90 degrees).

3/4x+2/5x-2=90°,

23/20x - 2=90°,

23/20x = 92°,

92/(23/20)

20/(1/4)

20(4)

= 80.

Since the angles are a linear pair on the left side(they sum to 180 degrees). Just subtract 180 from 3/4x-2 and substitute x into the expression.

180-(3/4(x)-2), 180-3/4(80)+2 = 120+2 = 122

from 4 to 5,the difference is 1 ,and when you multiply by 3, then add 3 to 5 ,it gives you 8 ,to get 17,I multiple 3by 3 and add the answer to 8 ,and the same continues upto when you get the final answer which is 81.

difference is just multiplying the previous difference with 3 and add it with the previous number .

The caffeine content (in mg) was examined for a random sample of 50 cups of black coffee dispensed by a new machine. The mean an
Genrish500 [490]

Answer:

 We are 98% confident interval for the mean caffeine content for cups dispensed by the machine between 107.66 and 112.34 mg .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given -

The sample size is large then we can use central limit theorem

n = 50 ,

Standard deviation(\sigma) = 7.1

Mean \overline{(y)} = 110

\alpha = 1 - confidence interval = 1 - .98 = .02

z_{\frac{\alpha}{2}} = 2.33

98% confidence interval for the mean caffeine content for cups dispensed by the machine = \overline{(y)}\pm z_{\frac{\alpha}{2}}\frac{\sigma}\sqrt{n}

                     = 110\pm z_{.01}\frac{7.1}\sqrt{50}

                      = 110\pm 2.33\frac{7.1}\sqrt{50}

       First we take  + sign

   110 +  2.33\frac{7.1}\sqrt{50} = 112.34

now  we take  - sign

110 -  2.33\frac{7.1}\sqrt{50} = 107.66

 We are 98% confident interval for the mean caffeine content for cups dispensed by the machine between 107.66 and 112.34 .

Find the value of x L 7x-7 M 4x+14
viktelen [127]

Answer:

x= 7 sorry if I'm wrong:(

Step-by-step explanation:

7x - 7 = 4x + 14

7x - 7 - 4x = 4x + 14 - 4x

3x - 7 = 14

3x - 7 + 7 = 14 + 7

3x = 21

x = 21/3

x = 7
