A point , (x,y) is reflected across the y axis. the resulting point is (-x,y)
so

if (5.75,0) is the reflected point, then (-5.75,0) is the original
the distance is the double the absolute value of the x value (basically a horizontal line beteen the 2 points)
so
2|-5.75|=2(5.75)=11.5
distance is 11.5 units

7. The graph of part of linear function g is shown on the grid. Which inequality best represents the domain of the part shown?
PSYCHO15rus [73]

Answer:

a

Step-by-step explanation:

Domain means the change in x.

so the domain will be which values of x the fn goes through.

you can see the black line goes from -9 to 2 in x values.

the -9 isn't filled in, but the 2 is. filled in means it will be with an equals instead of without.

so x is between -9 and 2, 2 is with equals -9 is without,

so the first one.

Answer:

2nd row

Step-by-step explanation:

The y-intercept corresponds to the ordered pair having an x-value of 0. The second row of the table has an x-value of 0, and y-value of 2. Therefore, the y-intercept is (0, 2).

Y=4x+14 y=6x+8 solve the system
Lyrx [107]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation: if you are doing subtitution then

Let's solve your system by substitution.

y=4x+14 and y=6x+8

Rewrite equations:

y=4x+14;y=6x+8

Step: Solvey=4x+14for y:

y=4x+14

Step: Substitute4x+14foryiny=6x+8:

y=6x+8

4x+14=6x+8

4x+14+−6x=6x+8+−6x(Add -6x to both sides)

−2x+14=8

−2x+14+−14=8+−14(Add -14 to both sides)

−2x=−6−2x−2=−6−2

(Divide both sides by -2)

x=3

Step: Substitute3forxiny=4x+14:

y=4x+14

y=(4)(3)+14

y=26(Simplify both sides of the equation)

Answer:

x=3 and y=26

What is the solution of the equation -14+2x+3=4x-13-7x
Harman [31]

Answer: x= -2/5 or x= -0.4

combine like terms on left side and get -11+2x. then combine terms on right side and get -13-3x. add the 11 to the right side and get 2x= -2-3x

then add over the 3x and get 5x=-2

and finally divide the -2 from 5x and get -2/5
