The two system that are primarily responsible for maintaining homeostasis during exercise are RESPIRATORY AND CIRCULATORY SYSTEMS. During exercise, the respiratory and the circulatory systems work together to ensure that partial pressure of oxygen in the arteries is maintained, efficient elimination of carbon dioxide and buffering of metabolic acids produce during exercise.
